We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.
Secure Shopping
When you place an on-line order, we ask you to provide information and fill out an on-line form. This information includes your name, mailing address, e-mail address, telephone number, credit card number and expiration date. Anytime when you place an order or access your account information, we offer the use of a secure server. The secure server software encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us. Furthermore, all of the customer data we collect is protected against unauthorized access. (See "Is shopping online really secure?)
Cookies
We use cookies for one reason only: to ensure the functionality of the shopping cart. We assign you a unique session ID number along with some other minor tracking information in a single cookie. We do not extract any private or personal information from your computer. You must have cookies enabled in your browser to properly use our shopping cart.
Warranty
Upon shipment of the product you will have ordered online, it will be automatically signed up on our Product Warranty Registration system. Most of the products on Mustek Direct have a one year warranty. However, the warranty periods for some products may vary. Please refer to the warranty period specified inside or on the surface of the original box, or on the product description page in the Products section.. Refurbished units have a 30-day warranty, unless otherwise noted. Accessories, such as CDs, power adapters, cables, etc., do not have a warranty.
How to obtain warranty service?
If your product becomes defective during the warranty period, you may ship the product directly to Mustek Direct for repair service. In returning the product for repair service, you must prepay all shipping charges, custom duties and taxes, as well as any other charges associated with transportation of the product. In addition, you are solely responsible for adequately insuring the product shipped or returned, and assume all risk of loss during shipment. For your protection, we recommend you ship your product via an insured, trackable carrier (e.g. UPS).
a) Please contact us by e-mail for a Service Repair Number (SRV number), or call Mustek Technical Support at (949) 788-3600, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:45pm PST.
b) You will be asked the product serial number, invoice number and date of invoice;
c) The SRV number is good for 10 days for only one (1) item and must match the product authorized for return. Any repair or service shipments sent to Mustek Direct without a pre-approved SRV number may be refused without notice, automatically returned, and a handling fee assessed. Please mark the SRV number on the surface of your package;
d) We will check the items included in your package at the time when we open the box. We are not responsible for any missing items claimed to be included in the shipping box. You are responsible for all shipping and insurance charges, unless otherwise indicated;
